The inaugural Wynnum Commerce Winter Solstice Gala Dinner raises $16,562 for Rosies.
A spectacular night was had on the 18th June at WCI’s first Black Tie Gala Dinner, with 140 in attendance. The Wynnum Community Fund, which is a committee of volunteers raising funds for Wynnum locals, has spent the last 4 months planning the event.
Wynnum Manly Branch Coordinator, Bruce Corrie, spoke on behalf of Rosies, thanking everyone for their support. Donations were raised through raffles, as well as live and silent auctions, where prizes were donated by local businesses.Â
Special thanks go to Artusi/Pedini for donating a $2k bar fridge with a carton of Peroni; Bartons for donating multiple prizes, one of which is a private lunch at the Manly Boathouse; and BMD/Urbex for donating a Brisbane Lions VIP Experience and signed jersey.
Special guests, Pat Welsh and Jessicah Schipper OAM, spoke about the upcoming Brisbane Olympics and what an exciting time it is to live on the bayside.
Thank you to the newly-branded Wynnum Golf Club for hosting and donating part of the meal. And a big thank you to Fleur by Ellie for donating all the table arrangements.
If you missed it, follow Wynnum Commerce on socials to keep an eye out on the next one.
